Surgery Details

Breast augmentation with implants is typically performed under general anesthesia and takes approximately one to two hours to complete. During the procedure, your surgeon creates carefully planned incisions in discreet locations to minimize visible scarring. Common incision options include along the natural crease beneath the breast (inframammary), around the lower edge of the areola (periareolar), or, in select cases, within the armpit (transaxillary).
